Parunyou Julayanont, MD, is a behavioral neurologist in the Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Program and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. Dr. Julayanont specializes in diagnosing and treating dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, Parkinson’s disease with dementia, frontotemporal dementia, posterior cortical atrophy, and primary progressive aphasia. Dr. Julayanont’s expertise also includes evaluating and treating cognitive and neuropsychiatric disturbances in patients with neurological disorders. Dr. Julayanont’s research interests include the behavioral neurology of dementia and the interface between behavioral neurology and movement disorders. In addition, he is an investigator in many clinical trials and longitudinal studies on Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases at Barrow.
