Danielle EAGAN Dr. Danielle Eagan

Danielle Eagan, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and Associate Professor of neuropsychology at Barrow neurological Institute. She is board-certified in neuropsychology by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. Dr. Eagan earned her master’s degree in Linguistics from Temple University and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her clinical internship at Emory University school of Medicine and her postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Eagan's research has focused on the effects of systemic inflammation on brain health and cognition, particularly the degree to which chronic vascular-metabolic risk factors increase risk for dementia. She seeks to improve identification of individuals at-risk for cognitive decline to allow for earlier implementation of mitigating interventions in the hope of prolonging independence, easing caregiver burnout, and lessening the economic impact of neurodegenerative pathologies.
